Key Points

Kitchen+ folds bathrooms, powder rooms, laundry rooms, pantries, closets, bars, mudrooms, flooring, paint, and structural work into your kitchen project on one plan and one contract.
You must be remodeling your kitchen to add any other rooms to your project.
Adding a room is a planning decision, and once your selections and drawings are approved, it gets harder and can move both your timeline and your price.

Why Wait to Remodel Your Other Rooms?

Is the laundry room going to look like an afterthought the day the new kitchen is finished?

Can the powder room be done at the same time, or is that a second job, a second crew, and another few weeks of work and dust in the house?

In this post, you’ll learn whether 7 Day Kitchens takes on rooms beyond the kitchen, exactly which rooms qualify, the one rule that decides whether we can help you at all, how several rooms run on a single plan and a single contract, when bundling is worth it and what it costs you in days, and how to add a room before your selections lock.

Can a Kitchen Remodeler Also Do Your Bathroom or Laundry Room?

Yes, we can remodel your bathroom, laundry room, and more as long as they’re part of a full kitchen remodel.

We call these Kitchen+ projects.

What Kitchen+ Covers, from Bathrooms to Mudrooms

Kitchen+ can include:

  1. Bathrooms and powder rooms.
  2. Pantries and sculleries.
  3. Laundry rooms.
  4. Closet systems.
  5. Coffee bars and cocktail bars.
  6. Drop zones, mudrooms, and pet stations.
  7. Flooring and paint carried into the rooms next to your kitchen.
  8. Structural changes, including removing a wall, adding an opening, or relocating a doorway.

Bathrooms, Powder Rooms, and Laundry Rooms

Each one of these rooms carries plumbing and electrical of its own, which is why they have to be specified in the same pass as the kitchen rather than added to it.

Every fixture and every rough-in location goes onto the plan set alongside the kitchen’s, and the electrician and plumber for that room get slotted into the same locked trade sequence.

How Adjacent Rooms Ride Along on One Plan and One Contract

It goes onto the same drawing set as the kitchen: floor plans and elevations placing every cabinet, appliance, and fixture in all included rooms.

Then it shows up in your 3D renderings, so you see the cabinetry running out of the kitchen and into the laundry before a single item gets ordered.

Every piece is then checked against the final plans when it arrives: proper sizing, correct finish, and compatibility with the layout and the utilities in that specific room.

Nothing is installed that hasn’t been ordered, delivered, inspected, and approved.

The laundry room’s electrician and plumber sit inside the same locked trade sequence as the kitchen’s, so no trade is waiting on another and no step happens out of order.

And it’s under one contract with us.

When It Makes Sense to Bundle a Room with Your Kitchen

Bundle the room if:

  • It shares a wall, a sightline, or a daily routine with the kitchen.
  • The finishes need to carry through, because that only works when both rooms come off one material list.
  • The room is already on your five-year list, since your house is torn up exactly once this way instead of twice.

Your kitchen still gets done in 7 days.

An added room gets its own window, and you’re told what that window is before anything comes apart.

In our Belmont kitchen and primary bathroom remodel, the kitchen took 7 days while the primary bathroom, with its freestanding tub and wood slat accent wall, ran on its own 10-day schedule. Finishing the hardwood flooring took another 3 days.

How to Add a Kitchen+ Room While Your Selections Are Still Open

Bring it up at the in-home discovery meeting, or any time before your selections and drawings are approved.

That meeting is where Michelle McHenry, our interior designer, walks you through cabinets, countertops, backsplash, hardware, and lighting, and where Michael, our architectural designer, takes the site measurements.

From there, it goes into the same plan set: floor plans and elevations placing every cabinet and fixture, then 3D renderings that show your cabinetry running out of the kitchen and into the next room, so you see the two together before anything is ordered.

Then the window closes.

Once your selections and plans are final, materials are ordered and your build week is scheduled. Changes from that point get harder and can move both your timeline and your price.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you add flooring and paint to the rooms next to my kitchen?

Yes, flooring and paint can be extended into the rooms next to your kitchen as part of a Kitchen+ project. Flooring outside the kitchen footprint isn't included by default, so it gets added to your scope during design.

Are Kitchen+ rooms covered by the same warranty as the kitchen?

Every Kitchen+ space carries the same Lifetime Workmanship Warranty as your kitchen, covering what we install for as long as you own the home. Your cabinets, countertops, fixtures, and appliances sit under their own manufacturer warranties. We register those and keep the documentation on file, so if you ever need to use one, you're not the person hunting for a receipt.

Can we stay in the house while you remodel the kitchen and an adjacent room?

Most homeowners stay in their home through the installation week. We isolate and protect the work area first: dust barriers go up, floors get covered, and the crew cleans up daily. Work hours and noise are communicated to you in advance so you can plan around them. Some homeowners travel that week instead and come back to a finished house.
